Industrial Machine Mechanic | Second Shift | Terrace Park, OH

Under the direction and supervision of the team lead/master mechanic, runs assigned machines to produce daily production quotas. Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to minimize machine downtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper settings for machines.

• Troubleshoot machines to identify the cause of defects in the product.

• Make minor adjustments or repairs to auto-pack units.

• Perform established duties to machines in the assigned area to maintain production, scrap rates, and product quality.

• Consistently run standard production on 1 -2 machines, depending on the assigned area.

• Clean machines with shop rags & scrapers.

• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma/ GED is preferred but not required.

• Must be willing to work well with others.

• Preferably has 1-3 years of a mechanical background.

• Preferably has a working knowledge of micrometers and calipers.

• Can accurately and efficiently record daily production numbers.

Requirements:

• 100% of the time, must be able to work with various machines, hand tools, and equipment.

• Must furnish own set of standard hand tools.

• Must be able to read and write proficiently.

• Must be able to obtain a material handling vehicle license.

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.

• 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds.

• Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.

• Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.

• 100% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.

Schedule:

Second Shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am

Pay:

$20.50/hr paid weekly
